PRINCIPAL IC DESIGN ENGINEER
JOB DESCRIPTION
The qualified candidate for this position will possess a BSEE and 8 years related experience, or a MSEE with 6 years, or a PhD with 2 years and will be an experienced IC Design Engineer who is familiar with SiGe, SiGe BiCMOS or CMOS technologies. A background in RF and microwave circuit design is advantageous, along with good understanding of design principles for high-volume circuit applications and products, preferably with some knowledge of packaging techniques. Other requirements include the ability to find innovative solutions to problems and translate them into practical solutions; the ability to follow a product specification through from concept to design, layout, prototyping, test and production; good understanding of microwave test equipment and procedures and the ability to troubleshoot and test circuits in the laboratory; demonstrated understanding of how circuit level trade-offs can impact system or higher level performance. Familiarity with either Cadence (Spectre) or Agilent ADS (preferably both) along with at least one of the mainstream commercial electromagnetic analysis engines desired.

Position Overview
Voice and Data Solutions hardware develops Cable Modems, and VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) products for the consumer, enterprise and commercial market. Primary customers are cable companies and phone service providers who deploy the products to subscribers for Broadband Internet access and VOIP applications.
Required Skills/Experience
Lead the design and test of VOIP products with a focus on new product development, secondary role in leading new product development for Data Cable Modems, and Wireless Modems. Lead the design process through the new product development cycle, concept to production.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
5 to 10 year’s total experience in design and testing of VOIP modems to various Telco and IP standards. History as an engineering lead, with minimum 3 years experience, developing products from concept to production. Experience with radiated emissions standards, radiated immunity and EMI mitigation measures are required. Design knowledge and experience with RF tuners up to the 1 GHz range is desirable. Knowledge of DOCSIS standards desirable. Familiarity with wireless standards (802.11x) is desirable. BSEE required, MSEE preferred.

Program Manager - NAVCOM
Position Responsibilities:
Program Manager responsible for the execution of contract requirements for the design, qualification, and production and installation of various US Navy/US Coast Guard Communication Programs. Responsible for financial, technical, and schedule performance. Directs performance or program functional task elements such as procurement, manufacturing, quality control, logistics and administrative functions. Primary customer contact. Work with all functions at CS-E and subcontractor organizations to support ROMs and proposal.
Minimum Experience/Education Qualifications:
BS in technical discipline. Experience in management of full scale development program. Engineering experience. Demonstrated good customer interface and internal coordination skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and management skills. Self-starter, highly motivated. Demonstrated skills and successes in front end of business opportunity development and pursuit. Prior experience in the pursuit process through proposal generation and pricing.
Ability to gain Secret Clearance.

RF ENGINEERING MANAGEr
Will be responsible for managing multiple RF hardware projects to produce Automatic Test Equipment Microwave Instrumentation, focusing on the system level specification and design. Responsibilities specifically include:
Leading a team to define and develop the systems level architecture of state of the art RF test instrumentation for next generation wireless IC’s such as 3G cellular and Ultra-wideband transceivers. Project management of RF instrumentation projects, integrating HW/SW and manufacturing components, management of RF and digital hardware engineers, driving the entire development process that spans synthesizing customer requirements, developing system architecture, detailed planning and development, and introduction into manufacturing. The position will also require project planning and resource management.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The ideal candidate will have a BSEE and at least 5-10 years of RF systems or major sub-component design experience. In addition we are seeking a minimum of 5 -7 years experience managing teams and designing complex RF and IF systems. Requires an individual with a strong background in RF, mixed-signal, analog and embedded controls. Must also be skilled at managing project schedules, staffing, defining and executing hardware and system engineering development processes

Sr. RF Project Engineer
Job Responsibility: We are seeking an individual with senior-level project engineering history that can be responsible for handling all aspects of product-line responsibility through concept, proposal, development, manufacturing release and sustaining of RF-based high reliability aerospace communications hardware. Self-motivation and self-direction is essential along with the ability to work well independently on a small team. Written and verbal communication skills are paramount. Must be able to work well with other departments to ensure smooth transition of product design to manufacturing. Previous technical program management and marketing history would be ideal in order that programs, proposals, and customers can be properly supported from an engineering point of view.
Job Requirements: Required: BSEE with 5 years history minimum, familiarity with high frequency design and implementation of receivers, transmitters, and/or transponders at L/S/X-bands with IFs, LOs, synthesizers, modulators/demodulators [PM, BPSK, QPSK, FM], and amplifiers [low noise and power]. Desired: MSEE. Higher frequency experience to Ku and Ka bands is optional however eventual. Previous project -level engineering history along with detailed RF circuit design history are preferred. Knowledege of DSP algorithms and theory would be ideal. Detailed history with gain distribution, sensitivity, link analysis, and system-level modulation tradeoffs are desireable. These positions requires an active Secret clearance or above at time of hire, or the ability to obtain such clearance.
